King Street Celebrates Manchester Pride 2026 with The Proud Trust

Manchester Village Pride returns this August Bank Holiday, taking over the Gay Village from Friday 28th to Monday 31st August 2026. Once again, King Street is proud to play its part in one of the city’s most important LGBTQ+ celebrations.

Four days of live stages, a candlelit vigil and the city’s parade, winding its way through the streets on Saturday 29th August, will bring the Gay Village to life in a weekend of celebration, community and pride.

In collaboration with The Proud Trust, one of Manchester Village Pride’s official partners, King Street has helped create a limited edition, cobranded folding fan. A little keepsake for visitors to carry with them throughout the weekend.

A Partnership Rooted in Community

The Proud Trust has been a cornerstone of Manchester’s LGBTQ+ community for decades. As the team behind The LGBTQ+ Centre on Sidney Street, their work centres on empowering young people through youth groups, mentorship, and school support.

Over Pride weekend, The Proud Trust will take to the parade with Youth Pride, followed by a series of workshops and performances designed to give young people space to be seen, heard, and celebrated. Our cobranded fans will be distributed directly by Proud Trust volunteers, helping to raise visibility for their work while giving festival goers something beautiful to fan themselves with in the August sun.
