Maison Margiela is coming to King Street

This autumn, we are delighted to welcome Maison Margiela to 35 King Street for a limited time only to showcase their fragrances. Maison Margiela is a French luxury fashion house founded by Martin Margiela in 1988. With its headquarters located in Paris, the house produces both haute couture-inspired and ready-to-wear collections, shoes, fragrances, jewellery, bags and accessories.

Maison Margiela are renowned for their live shows in peculiar settings, such as empty metro stations and street corners, showcasing their deconstructive and avant-garde designs using unconventional materials. Models’ faces are often covered by fabric or long hair to direct attention to their designs. Margiela resigned as creative designer in 2009 and John Galliano took over the role in 2014.

Artisanal is the term used by Maison Margiela for its haute couture collections. With John Galliano’s creativeness, the ideas, techniques and proposals developed for the Artisanal collection inform every other aspect of the fashion house, through the prêt-à-porter and avant-première lines. Their product lines include womenswear, menswear, fine jewellery, footwear, objects, fragrance, and home goods, among others.

King Street are hosting Maison Margiela’s pop-up boutique from Wednesday 28th September until Sunday 2nd October, so be sure not to miss them! Keep an eye out for more information on our socials and head to their website to find out more about the brand.
