This August, King Street will proudly transform into “Queen Street” in a vibrant celebration of Manchester’s LGBTQ+ community. In collaboration with HEADS and Doll Parts, this unique exhibition will showcase stunning images and stories of the city’s most iconic drag queens and LGBTQ+ figures, highlighting their profound impact on Manchester’s culture.
The event will feature a launch party on August 23rd and a weekend filled with creative workshops and inclusive activities. Join us in celebrating diversity, raising awareness, and supporting AKT and George House Trust.
Event Highlights
Launch Event: Friday, August 23rd, 6 PM – 10 PM, featuring a live DJ at 58 King Street.
Creative Workshop: Saturday, August 24th, 12 PM – 4:30 PM by Imogen Sophia.
Inclusive Makeup Classes: Sunday, August 25th, 1 PM – 2:30 PM by Doll Parts, plus all-day Tooth Gems by Buck Tooth Gems and Buttery’s Bingo by @samjbuttery from 8 PM – 10 PM.
