Discover the King Street Floral Trail at The Manchester Flower Festival 2025

From Friday 23rd to Monday 26th May, King Street will be in full bloom as part of The Manchester Flower Festival, one of the city’s most colourful celebrations of the year. Blending art, history, and horticulture, this vibrant trail offers a fresh perspective on the city centre’s iconic shopping street.

A Global Theme with a Local Heart

This year’s festival theme celebrates Manchester’s musical and industrial roots alongside the spirit of great cities around the world. Visitors can explore nine floral installations across the city centre, two of which are set right on King Street, each one a creative reimagining of life and culture in urban spaces, from Paris to New York.

What to See on King Street

Parisian Charm in Bloom
One of the highlights on King Street is a dreamy floral tribute to the elegance of Paris. A delicate, handcrafted replica of the Eiffel Tower rises from a bed of soft pastel blooms, wrapped in greenery and seasonal flowers. The scene captures the romance of a Parisian spring and offers a perfect photo opportunity for festival-goers.

New York’s Hidden Gardens
Also featured is an installation inspired by New York City’s iconic brownstone steps, where residents transform small stoops into vibrant micro-gardens. This display brings together terracotta pots, lush plants, and rustic charm to reflect the quiet beauty of these personal green spaces, offering a peaceful contrast to the energy of the city.
